Business Inspections
The Fire Marshal conducts fire and life safety inspections in and for commercial buildings, residential structures, business licenses, certificates of occupancy, general fire safety inspections, fire drills, the installation or removal of underground storage tanks, and the enforcement of code infractions.
Plans Review
The Fire Marshal is responsible for new and existing building construction and renovations. These duties consist of plans review, pre-design assistance, design consultations, code review and interpretation according to adopted ICC Building and Fire Codes and applicable NFPA standards, and acceptance testing for all fire protection systems.
