Pet Tags

Dog and cat owners are required to purchase an annual license each year. They must acquire it when one of the following three things occurs:

1.) Within 15 days of when the current rabies vaccine expires.
2.) Upon the purchase or ownership of a new pet.
3.) Upon becoming a new resident of the City of Scottsboro.
These tags are available for purchase at City Hall ( Map to our location). Pet owners need to provide the current rabies vaccine certificate, which they received from their veterinarian’s office as proof that the animal has been vaccinated. A $3.00 fee per pet will be charged. Both the current rabies tag and the annual license tag should be attached to the collar of the pet.
